Took car to Ford dealership when it would not shift into gear. First fix was the transmission computer needed to be updated. Paid to have repaired, was told if that didn't cover it the module needed to be replaced. Took about 1 month, same issue, took back to dealership. Was told no codes for repair, not repairable. Reset computer worked fine for another 2 weeks. Back at dealership again now, no pressure, transmission not repairable. Need new transmission.
Used transmissions are about $2500 plus parts and labor. If this is the same problem everyone who owns ay CVT transmission, why hasn't Ford recalled this and made it right? Questioning my loyalty to Ford after 28 years of being a Ford owner.
