This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
The horn had to be replaced Sept. 22, 2023 because it wasn't working. The horn had to be replaced again Nov. 9, 2023 because it was not working. This is a safety hazard since, without a horn, the driver cannot alert others in case of a problem with this car or get the attention of other drivers who are inattentive and may cause an accident. The second time the dealer replaced the horn, the service representative stated the problem was that the assembly got wet and the new unit had to be re-mounted in a better position. There was no light or indicator that the horn had failed. I only noticed it when locking the car with the fob because it usually beeps if I press the "lock" button twice. If I hadn't noticed that, I would have been surprised and potentially involved in an accident if unable to alert other drivers of a problem.
