I have been having trouble with the car from the first day we had it. There has been a noise that sounds to me like a bad throwout bearing but it only does it once in awhile. Well about a month ago, maybe more, it started to shutter when in first gear or when hitting the gas to get around someone. The service department at the Ford dealer said they have been getting this complaint and that the computer needed to be re-programed but it might not fix the problem. It would seem there is a problem but not really a fix.
The car was much worse the next few days but started to clear up after about a week, ( I was told it could take as long as 500 miles to go away, maybe ) but while it has gotten better it is still shuttering like it did before I took it in to be serviced. I am very disappointed. Otherwise the car is fine.
Update from Aug 13, 2015: Well the car got fixed but only after 4 trips to the dealer and while the car was ok for awhile it has started to give trouble again. At just over 36,000 miles the transmission clanks, shakes, hesitates in first and generally makes allot of noise. After writing Ford about it they sent a letter saying they would extend the warranty on the transmission to 100,000 miles but after knowing this has been a problem for so long they should have done something about it a few years ago. I guess I should say the "fix" was to change out the clutch but like I said it only helped for a short while.
