This situation was scary as hell, it has happened several times since I bought the car June 29, 2015 and it scares the hell out of me and my family. I thought it was something I was doing at first until it happened more than once and one of my family members drove my car and brought it straight back promising to Never ask to drive again. Somebody needs to fix this problem.
car will randomly accelorate while in cruise control
at first I thought I did something wrong when using the cruise control. then a few days later while on the interstate going 55mph using the cruise control it excelled to 70 mph and there was a cop there and I got a ticket.. still baffled as to what just happed as I had been using my cruise control the past 2 hrs. the other day I was by myself driving put it in cruise control at 35 mph. a couple of minutes later it excelled to 50 mph. thank goodness no cops around as the police station was near by. My car goes in to the service center on Tuesday. I haven't even had the car a month yet. :(
