I went outside this morning, started my car and put the defrost on. About 20 seconds after I put the defrost on I heard what sounded like ice dropping to the ground, only to find out that my rear hatch window completely shattered. I took it to my Ford Dealership and they advised that this is an issue that wouldn't be covered under warranty. They also told me that there are currently no recalls regarding this issue, but clearly from some of the reviews on this site, I am not the only one who has come across this issue. I am now almost $600 out of pocket and will be contacting Ford Corporate office. This is an issue that should have never happened. I am very disappointed and am second-guessing my decision to buy a Ford.
