My wife and I heard a load pop/noise while driving on the highway and noticed that the right rear door on our Fiesta would not stay closed. After looking at the lock the mechanism, it would not lock to keep the door closed. I was searching on the computer for parts and found hundreds of people with a variety of Ford vehicles that had the same issue. Why should I pay hundreds of dollars for a part that has not been recalled and can do the same thing all over again?
Several of these reports said the vehicles locks had to be repaired multiple times, I am pissed, this is a serious safety concern. I can take an electrical recall or something mechanical that wears out and needs fixed, but an obvious safety issue like the doors swinging open. This is all doors my friends, front and rear. This is a serious concern. Ford needs to man up and get this issue recalled now.
