I purchased my vehicle in 2011 as a new automobile. It is less that 5 years old, has never been in an accident and has a gasket that leaks!
I do not know how this can be acceptable, but I do not see any recalls on this particular problem.
I am furious.
Update from Jan 6, 2015: As it turns out, the leak comes from the roof seam seal, not the window seal. Evidently, the vibrations of driving my vehicle less than 40,000 are too much for the roof seam to withstand.
Because a lot of new car bodies are no longer mounted on a frame, but function as a frame, this is not unusual. The cost of buying anything new. It is a cost that I will not repeat.
