Ford dealership/mechanic found that one front and one rear wheel bearing had issues and emitted a grinding / whirling noise that was most noticeable at approx 35 mpg. It appeared to hold the vehicle back some from inertia. Ford covered the repairs under the "drive train" warranty as the vehicle had 43000 miles already.
