Started getting a lot of wheel noise and vibration. I though maybe it was wheel bearing. I noticed two of the nuts were loose. Took it to the dealer and they told me that these nuts have a problem. The aluminum covers react with the iron nuts and they corrode and split. They didn't offer a solution, exept for me to buy 16 new OF THE SAME FRICKEN NUTS!!! since they don't offer another type for the Fiesta. They told me they had this problem in the past with the Lincolns but they changed those. The car is not old, and not driven hard.
It's not just about having to fork out $160 to replace a defective part with a new of the same defective part that is the issue here. This is a bit of a safety hazard if the nuts corrode and come loose. Ford customer service was not in the least helpful about this.Told me I would have to wait for a recall to be issued before they would do anything about it. When does that happen. When a wheel falls off and someone gets killed?
