2011 Ford Fiesta. Consumer writes in regards to broken clutch housing. The consumer stated the dealer advised the consumer the clutch housing was on recall. The recall had expired before the failure occurred. The consumer was not made aware of the recall prior to it expiring.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the vehicle did not change gears when started. Also, while driving various speeds, the vehicle decelerated without warning and the transmission indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to kenny ross Ford South (412-881-0001, located at 3200 library rd, castle shannon, pa 15234) where it was diagnosed that the clutch system needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fiesta. While driving approximately 15 mph, the vehicle stalled and the power train fault warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the clutch assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,000.
