I have had problems since day one with this car. less than 2 weeks after purchasing my heater motor stopped working completely! After waiting almost 3 weeks for my car to be fixed(because if you live in Canada your part has to be shipped from the USA, which takes anywhere from 10-14 days) They assured me the problem was fixed. Less then 3 days later driving home i went to turn down my heater from full blast and SURPRISE it only worked on HIGH! I said whatever it was something that i could live with for right now since my closest ford dealership is close to 2 hours away, and was not going to miss anymore time off work to get this fixed. About 3 days later i was driving home from work and my engine light came on, i was absolutely terrified! I called my ford dealership to make an appointment to get it looked at asap. I get it towed to the dealership, after 3 days of hearing nothing and constant phone calls to the dealership. I finally recieve a phone call from the dealership stating it was something wrong with the electrical, which was causing the engine light to come on and stay illuminated. And for the heater motor..surprise something wrong with the electrical. They then proceeded to tell me that it was safe to drive until the parts came in..in my eyes if you have electrical problems with your car it is not safe to drive. So another 10-14 days i waited....THEN the day came to get my car back. The assured me AGAIN that it was fine, and nothing major has gone wrong in my car...Ahuh...Then less than a week later i went and started my car and it was making this weird thumping static sound was coming from my speakers, which i couldn't turn down and wouldn't stop once i turned my vehicle off. And then 2 days later i now have no stereo/sirus/cd no sound once so ever. So once again it is now in the shop...possibly for another 10-14 days..Unfortunately there is no lemon laws in place in Canada...As i bought this car December 23rd 2010, and it is now March 3, 2011.
