Grandmother just became a widow in February having a hard time dealing with loss of my grandfather. I encouraged my grandmother to allow me to take her out to dinner at one of her favorite restaurants. I nestled her in the front, passenger side of car and closed the door. I get in the driver side and proceeded driving. When making a left turn her door swung wide open, there were no indicator lights on the dashboard of my car indicating that my car doors were not fastened. Next thing I knew was PANIC!!!
I was scared that my grandmother was going to fly right out the door even though she was harnessed in the safety belt. I stopped the car to find out how this happened and noticed that the handle was stuck in the pull-out position. I had a hard time putting it back in the rest position then find that the other piece placed next to the handle just fell on the ground. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary when either closing or opening the car door.
My grandmother is now very frightened and refuses to get back into my car; needless to say, both of us wasn't hungry anymore so that cancelled dinner. Then when calling my dealership, the company where I purchased my vehicle from, who then told me that I had to pay to get this problem fixed words cannot describe how angry I am about purchasing this vehicle.
This is my very first 'American' made car I have ever purchased and you can be know that I will be getting rid of it never to buy any more American made vehicles. I have never went through this kind of problem before with any of the foreign made vehicles I ever had; It just comes to show that American made products is worthless!
