This production year was the first year for this Navistar designed engine and happen for the years 2008-2010 and Ford has not owned up to a weak High Pressure Fuel Pump. The diesel engine is designed to last several hundreds of thousands of miles, not less than 100,000 miles which now my truck has less than 82,000 miles on it.
I guess at this point FOMOCO just does not care about the products they produce.
This is my first used / new Ford and no doubt be my LAST.
