Coating from inside the fuel tank is flaking off and clogging the fuel pump. and fuel filters.
This Dec. truck died and had to be towed. Result was replace fuel filters, fuel pump and two injectors. ( $ 2800.00 fix) Called ford and the denied any responsibility. Any one having this problem contact me, I will be happy to join a class action lawsuit against ford
Ford, has engineered a defective gas tank that delaminates and contaminates the diesel fuel which has the potential to cause catastrophic problems with the injectors and engine. Fortunately I caught the problem during routine fuel water separator filter maintenance and quit driving the vehicle.
Ford denies any responsibility and refuses to pay for a replacement tank.
