The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel diesel particulate sensor needed a manual regeneration. The vehicle was repaired under Ford TSB Numbers: 19-2343 and 21-2052; however, the failure recurred after driving for 2,000 miles. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fuel diesel particulate sensor needed a manual regeneration, and the DEF pump and injector had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 77,000.
