The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving 70-74 MPH, the message "Loss of Power" was displayed, and the vehicle stalled. The contact was able to pull over to the side of the road. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a high-pressure fuel pump failure. The dealer determined that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 250,000.
