The DAY we picked up the truck, after driving 30 miles, dashboard the warning lights went off (Check ABX, check engine, etc). Called dealership, we discussed, he said they were aware of a "module problem" and go ahead and drive it, bring in for repair when we got back. Did just that, and in mid March happened again (I have photo documentation of dashboard warning lights). They picked it up, kept it for a week, returned it. Happened again several days later, picked up again, kept for a week, brought it back to me and I asked what they did to fix it and they said "nothing" we cant find whats wrong, so I sent it back and told them not to bring it back until they figured it out. Kept another week, said a Ford service technician had diagnosed it and fixed some wires that were crossing. Got it back, drove it less than 10 miles, happened again. Sent it back, they kept if for 2 weeks, called and said it was fixed, and on the way back to my office it went off again.
At that point, I told the dealership I wanted to return it because it is a lemon, so they did a "buy back". GM placed an order for exact model in 2019 model. We had been in a rental car, and GM called 2 weeks later and said Ford Technician had fixed it, and we could now have it back, to which I replied no, I dont want it back, it's a Lemon. he said, well I need to get the rental car back, and we have spent $4000.00 on a rental car. now dealership has the new replacement vehicle, but says I owe them $5485 for the new vehicle. I am NOT HAPPY. I wouldnt mind giving them no more than $2500, and if I had a rental car thru them at no charge, I'd gladly give them this price difference, but considering we have spent $4000 on a rental car, this seems unfair.
