The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH, the tailgate independently opened, and the contact lost cargo stored in the truck bed onto the highway. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but was a recurring failure. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed and was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V864000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while reversing into the parking space, the rear-view camera image turned dark, and the rear tailgate erroneously unlatched, causing the tailgate to open and struck a pole. During the failure, the rear tailgate was damaged. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The contact was informed that parts for the NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V864000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages) were on backorder. The contact also received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Number 22V644000 (Back Over Prevention) and 22V880000 (Power Train) however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. VIN tool confirms parts not available. The failure mileage was 75,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 5 MPH, the front driver-??s side door was erroneously unlatched and opened. The contact indicated that on several occasions, the door would not remain latched. On other occasions, the door would not open as needed, causing the driver to use the front passenger-??s side door to exit the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V652000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 290,000.
