The contact stated that after a freezing rainstorm, the front driver-??s side and front passenger-??s side doors would not latch properly and the doors would not remain closed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V652000 (Latches/Locks/Linkage). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.
Tailgate continues to open on its own primarily while driving on unmaintained dirt roads. Recently this happened while out hunting and had some cargo fall out of my truck. Fortunately, another hunter saw what happened, grabbed our gear and caught up to us to return it.

The contact stated that the door failed to remain securely closed and was secured using a rope. The repair was still pending. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 25,630.
