The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the diesel particulate filter was cracked and required a replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Customer Satisfaction Program: 20M06, but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 49,000.
