When driving my 2013 Ford 350 Crew Cab 4x4 6.7 Diesel with only 68,000 miles stock with original equiptment, I was driving to my chemo appt as I have stage 4 cancer and a mom of a young son the truck started a shake and the sterring wheel violently came away from my hands. It got so bad I almost went into oncoming traffic putting my sons life and myself and others in danger, I have brought this truck to local shop and they figure it out. This has gone several times. Its my primary truck. Im a widow and need a safe truck. I cant bring to dealer as they charge $150 hr. I dont have a extended warranty on the truck, No codes popped up on dash, Ford has many complaints with there trucks including the f 150 which i owned and it lived at the shop. over $10,000 out of pocket and problem never fixed always can find issue. something needs to be done before someone gets killed in a accident.

We have experienced -??death wobble-?? several times with the Ford. Every time we get all the necessary parts replaced and they-??ll last about 6 months and the death wobble will return. It-??s highly dangerous as you lose control of the vehicle and it can walk into another lane with traffic. You are unable to steer when this is happening. The only way to regain control is to slow the vehicle down to around 35/40 mph. It-??s a danger to us and to others on the road.

When hitting a bump in the road at highway speed, the front end of the truck will began to wobble and oscillate uncontrollably. Had to stop by the side of the road to get it to stop. Took it to the local Ford dealership and they are replacing all the steering components in the front end at my expense-??$2100. This is apparently a known issue with 2009 and later Ford Super Duty trucks. This is an extremely dangerous situation and should be rectified by Ford at no cost to owners.

Driving down the road at approximately 60 mph we crossed over a bridge. Once we crossed the bridge the trucks steering wheel started to shake violently making the truck near impossible to handle and steer. We had to reduce speed quickly and pull to the side of the roadway to keep from wrecking the truck.

Traveling at speeds between 60-70mph on highways, at slights curves with rough pavement, my truck begins shaking violently to the point of losing control. Once I slow down and pull over it stops. It occurs without any warning. It has now happened a half dozen times. Nearly lost control and just avoided an accident on the last event. I had recall work done at Ford dealer today. Described the event. They told me about -??death wobble-?? occurrences common with F250 and F350s. Looked it up. Description matches perfectly with my experience. Mechanics checked my steering linkage, axel, wheels for play, u linkages. Nothing out of the ordinary. I am deeply concerned for my safety.

I have had a few instances where the steering wheel gets a little shaky when hitting a bump but had a significant event that recently happened. I was traveling about 70 mph, with 3 other individuals in the truck with me. We were on a relatively smooth highway, one that is very well maintained. We went over a bridge and as we came off of the bridge and over the -??joint-?? between the road and the bridge, the steering wheel began to violently shake, worse than anything I have ever experienced. I was white-knuckled trying to keep control of the vehicle, all the while slowing down on the highway. The truck was drifting left as it was shaking and I finally was able to come to almost a complete stop, which is when the shaking stopped. The shaking lasted maybe 20 -30 seconds. There was no warning, no lights or messages on the dash-??and the -??joint-?? between the road and the bridge was not very rough. I am thankful no one was hurt and there wasn-??t much traffic around us when it happened. I am also thankful I wasn-??t hauling my horse trailer and horses when it happened because it could have turned out much worse. I have scheduled an appointment with the dealership to take the vehicle in. I can-??t possibly chance this happening again-??especially with a horse trailer hooked up.

The truck vibrates uncontrollably when driving on the freeway at speeds between 65-75mph. This typically occurs when the truck hits a bump when driving in this speed range. Doing a google search and reviewing videos of this issue reveals a pheonomea referred to as 'death wobble'. This has happened to me at least 8 times over the past 8-10 months. I had the shocks changed recently hoping that this would fix the problem. This did NOT fix the problem. On one occassion while driving in Pennsylvania towing my boat, I was nearly in an accident. When the vibration/attenuation occurred I was driving approx 70mph and had to slow to 40mph nearly causing an accident. This is a very scary issue that apparently through research Ford is well aware of. I have my truck at the dealership as I write this complaint and they are saying they cannot identify the problem....So, the genesis of the Ford class action law suit was a similar issue. The dealership turned a customer away with a known safety issue. Wonder if this is going to happen to me? If I am turned away with a known safety issue and end up in an accident, you will certainly hear from me again! This is crazy. Merry Christmas!

I was driving on the freeway when I hit a small bump and the steering wheel began to shake uncontrollably. Luckily, I was able to merge to the shoulder for safety. Only after I stopped completely did the shaking stop. Signs of the famous "death wobble" on these trucks. Ford needs to fix! Veer dangerous and scary.

My vehicle is currently at 79,200 miles and have recently experienced what is called the Death Wobble. Any bump in the road causes my steering to violently shake back and forth until I slow down and regain control. At this time it-??s unknown what is causing the problem and an appointment with my dealer isn-??t available until December 17, three months from now. We use this vehicle to tow a12,000 pound fifth wheel. At this point I-??m afraid to tow with this vehicle. Currently the vehicle is covered under Ford-??s extended warranty until Feb 28.

While traveling above 50mph or so, the truck has violently shook after hitting a minor bump in the road, causing difficulty steering the vehicle and the vehicle pulling to one side. This has happened on 3 different occasions, with each time being exactly the same. The vehicle will be driving smoothly, and then experience a violent repetitive shaking. Each time, the driver has had to brake immediately in order to regain control of the vehicle. When the vehicle slowed to approximately 20mph or lower, the vehicle regained control. Visual examinations of the vehicle returned no loose or broken parts, and the violent vibrations were not evident by any markings or other disturbances under the vehicle. After doing some initial research, it appears that others have experienced almost identical situations, and is characterized as "death wobble". the vehicle does not seem safe to drive, and there does not appear to be any recalls from Ford on this known and widespread issue.

2 weeks ago I got the terrible "death wobble" and almost wrecked the truck as well as me almost having a heart attack. I was going 60 mph (speed limit is 65) on a dual lane highway and hit a small pothole and hit the brakes making it 10 times worse. I pulled over to the side of the road and checked everything out and it seemed to be ok. Had it checked out by a mechanic friend and we replaced the steering stabilizer. Did good for 2 weeks and ran up on stopped traffic and the worst happened twice as bad as the first time. Truck has 57,000 miles and I am the 2nd owner and had never experienced this until now. I researched this and found out about the death wobble and it seems like there are many others with the same problem and seems to be no repair for it. Maybe the best fix is to buy a new other brand type of truck. I have been a faithful Ford buyer until this has come up unless there is a recall or repair to be made

A Ford truck "death wobble" alleges F-250 and F-350 trucks have problems with the steering linkage and suspension systems. The proposed class action lawsuit includes current and former owners and lessees of 2005-2019 Ford F-250 and F-350 trucks. However, the plaintiff says the Ford dealership denied the wobble problem and refused to repair the truck under warranty. The Ford truck death wobble lawsuit was filed in the U.S. district court for the southern district of California - william lessin, et al., V. Ford Motor Company.
