F-350 Lariat 6.7L

2012 F350 with OEM 20" Michelin LTX A/T 2 tires. Noticed a lot of wear compared to other vehicles I have owned. These tires were only had 26003 miles, were rotated and balanced every 5000 miles. Noticed dry rot cracks very early and have now lost right rear to tread separation. As a bonus, the spare is a 18" wheel. Holy crap. You have upgraded size tires with a spare you cant use for extended time. What a waste. Replaced all 4 tires with Nitto Terra Grappler G2. What a difference.

The stock Michelins suck, and don't expect dealer to fix them.

F-350 Lariat 6.7L Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 29,000 miles

4th of July weekend 2013: I noticed rear tires were down to minimum. I took the truck to the dealership and they checked with Michelin for warranty. No warranty as I had not rotated the tires. These were the back tires and my truck is a to-and-from work vehicle with no towing, hauling, or heavy work. The front tires were fine as I would expect with 29,000 miles.

Solution, I now have FIRESTONE DESTINATION on the rear. There is something wrong with these 20" Michelin tires
