Driving down the road, engine made a god awful noise, coasted to the side. Called tow truck. Had truck towed to dealership. Got a call the next day. Vehicle needed a new engine. To the tune of 19k. Like I'll just whip out my check book. Seems that a piston went through the wall. So I need a new engine for that???? Told the dealership I had someone coming to get the truck. Went up to get it released and they charged me $500 didn't put anything back together, piled engine parts in the back. Put it in a diesel shop....needs new bottom end, doesn't need entirely new engine. so its 12,000. Who in the hell has that kind of money to put into a vehicle? I certainly don't. Now its been in the shop since January. Get the run around, have no idea when it will be available. I was so hoping to find a recall on this truck. I only had it 8 months. Huge payments, had to buy another truck. I own a business, just to get me through until this one is ready. Not that I'll have that kind of money to pick it up. This may be something that the finance company and the diesel shop work out....if anyone knows of any recalls are anything that will help, please message me.
