Neither the Ford dealer in Tucson nor Ford INC. want to deal with this problem. The parts for the moonroof should last the life of the car. I've had to replace the track after 4 years and they want me to do it again after two years with no remedy or assistance in this matter. The Ford Consumer agent's suggestion was to write as many letters as I desired....which is what I'm doing..
Update from Mar 25, 2015: Contacted the Ford Customer Service number in my truck manual, basically they said too bad..no help coming. Wrote a letter to Ford and they said the representative provided me their answer. The Tucson dealer who performed the work said he would discount the part and labor which will still cost me $1200.00. Needless to say I'm not happy with either response.
Looks like I'll be using the Small Claims process to see if I can get any resolution to this matter. If anything I'll have the satisfaction of getting both of them into court to explain why they are selling and installing inferior/defective parts.
