When merging on freeway. Truck kept accelerating after letting off gas pedal. Slammed on brakes to slow truck. Truck kept going faster and had no control of speed or way to stop truck. After incident now tac odometer on dash needle wont go back to zero after you shut truck off cruise control was off and no floor mats in truck.
The contact owns a 2006 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while driving 10 mph, the vehicle lost acceleration power and stalled. The contact stated that she restarted the vehicle and drove it to the dealer for inspection where they stated that the turbo charger needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
On 3 separate occasions when brakes were applied the vehicle actually sped-up and was only brought to a stop through heavy pressure to the brake pedal.
