My husband and I were pulling into a crowded rest stop at a slow rate of speed. As my husband was pulling up to the curb, he braked. Our 2004 Ford F350 suddenly accelerated, leaped the curb and crashed into a trash can.
Thank god there was no one in front of us as they would have been killed.
The truck suffered what appears to be significant front-end damage (taking it in tomorrow) and a big rig driver was kind enough to use his trailer to pull our bumper off our tires so we could drive the truck away.
After this latest incident we googled this issue and found that there are numerous class action lawsuits against Ford for this very issue. This was extremely frightening, and we are so thankful no one was seriously injured.
