The vehicle was towed to the dealer for diagnosis. The dealer stated that the air blockers failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and acknowledged the failure but provided no assistance. The failure and the current mileage was 98,000.

2003 Ford F350 developed problems with the accelerator pedal.** answer required***. when the gas pedal was pressed the vehicle would not move. Each time the vehicle was taken to a dealer but they were unable to permanently rectify the problem. Various components were replaced/repaired but the problem recurred.
When applying the brakes pedal went to the floor. Vehicle continued to accelerate with speed. Consumer was able to drive it to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic could not duplicate the problem.

When driving at any speed and accelerator was pressed hard to pass or to enter a highway vehicle did not accelerate. Dealership inspected vehicle 10 times at several Ford dealerships, and could not duplicate or correct the problem.
Without prior warning while in traffic vehicle surged forward while pressing the brake pedal, causing a collision with a tree. There were minor injuries. Both driver and passenger were transported by ambulance.
