The fuel tank straps on my 2002 Ford F350 rotted out to where the fuel tank hit the highway. We drove 6 miles leaking fuel and grinding the tank away. Was a major diesel spill with 38 gallon of fuel on highway, county sheriff follow the trail to my shop. This truck doesn't see much use in snow or ice...So it doesn't have salt damage or wear. Only a 143,000 miles on it... First truck in over 45 years of driving to lose a fuel tank strap.
