The processor that controls emissions on a 6.0 L V-10 with a 5 speed manual transmission in California is the same processor as for an automatic transmission. The use of this processor causes the engine to surge or not reduce speed when the accelerator is released. When using the engine compression to slow down, the engine will surge and caude the vehicle to speed-up. The vehicle is stressful to drive in close traffic or in congested parking lots. Ford was made aware of this problem approxiamently 2 weeks after the vehicle was purchased. Ford has yet to fix the problem. The vehicle has been seen by numerious Ford dealers in several states including California.
