This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
While driving with dogs in vehicle, one of the dogs' paws was resting on door armrest. It then slipped down on door handle & the door swung open. They fell out of vehicle while it was moving. The door was locked at time the handle was engaged. Lock on door affects outside of vehicle, but not inside.
Because inside door handle is built into the arm rest, when pressure is applied to the handle, the door will sling open. Dealer and manufacturer have been notified.
