I took these tires off of the truck when new and install them on my rv trailer where they failed. The Firestone dealer said they had 50% tread life left, but would not replace them. (dot number: Vnor1wt134 tiresize: LT235/85/R)
I was driving on I30, 70 mph when the right front tire blew out. I got stopped without any injuries and changed tire. There was only about 6 inches of the sidewall left on the blown tire. I still have 6 of the same orignal tires left on this Ford 350 dully truck. (dot number: Vnop1wv174 tiresize: Lt21585R16)
The tire failed by loosing its steel belt while driving on the freeway at about 65mph. This tire had about 20kmiles on it & had about 1/3 of its tread left. It did not blow out but damaged the wheel well. The tire was properly inflated for the load and was just checked that morning.( dot number: Vnor 1wt 3 tire size: 85R16 )
