The contact owns a 2020 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while in drive(D), the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was pumped gradually, and the vehicle accelerated as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who retrieved DTC code: P0685. The contact was informed that the PCM relay needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 91,000.
