The salesperson at the place of purchase assured me that this is caused by driving on rocks. My 83 yo father has never seen anything like this on any tires. My 50,000 mile tires are down to the wear marks with approximately 22,000 miles. l no longer feel safe in my normal travels with these seemingly defective tires That may fail at any time.
