While traveling, Extreme violent shaking of vehicle while driving East on busy Interstate 24, between Paducah, Ky and Knoxville, TN. Our destination is Myrtle Beach. We were driving 70 MPH, road had multiple bumps, weather & road conditions were dry. Traffic was heavy. Time of occurrence was approximately 9-10 AM. very scary, .While holding both hands firmly on steering wheel to attempt to keep truck straight and slow down while trying to get over to side of road to evaluate. Called Ford Service, they were familiar with this issue. We inquired if safe to continue driving. Service Advisor indicated it was ok to drive as long as we don-??t go to fast and avoid bumps and bridge bumps. Inquired if they were familiar with issues, they indicated they were familiar with this issue. Appointment made for next day to evaluate. Spoke to Beach Ford Myrtle Beach. Occurred total of 3 times on our trip.

Hi on September 06, 2021 at around 10:00am i was driving west on Freeway 10, I was with my family (wife and two kids 5 and 2 year old) on the carpool lane of a very busy freeway in San Gabriel valley. And when my truck started going over 60 mph it started violently shaking. My family and me held tight to the truck, I held on to the steering wheel as hard as I could while I slowly decreased the speed. I was able to bring the speed down to 30mph but the shaking would not stop. I slowly merged across the lanes and came a complete stop on the side of the freeway. I got out of the truck and inspected the outside to see if anything visible broke. After I checked the outside and got back and checked the screen but no messages were given for any sort of malfunction. i tried driving the truck again but at low speed 50mph and the issue did not occurred again, I'm afraid to drive 65 to 70 mph on this truck again and my wife was terrified, saying she could of not imagine what would of happened if she was the one driving at the time of the incident. on September 7, 2021 i took my truck for inspection at Bob Wondries Ford located at 400 S. Atlantic Blvd, Alhambra CA 91801 (626-246-3591), they should have a report for me in about two days.

Using the shoulder on the road was able immeditaly slow down and stop. The intensity of the shake was as though the truck was about to explode. Shocking. The dealer did perfrom a steering linkage replacement under warranty today 09-03-2021

I was driving down the highway at 70 mph and hit a bump in the road where there was repaving going on. As soon as I hit the bump, the truck and steering wheel began shaking incredibly hard to the point where the truck was hard to control. It felt like I had a tire that had gone completely flat. I slowed down and got off on the shoulder of the road and had to come to a complete stop to get the shaking to stop. I got out, walked around the truck and couldn't find any issues. I got back in the truck and drove down to the next exit, getting up to about 60 mph with no issues. The next morning I had the same issue occur again in a very similar situation.

Traveling at highway speeds of 70 mph, this f250 has had 3 occurrences of uncontrollable, uncommanded violent death wobble steering wheel shakes. We have had to stomp the brakes and slow to 30mph for the steering to recover.......unsafe to drive!
