My truck has approximately 3,000 miles on it. I have already experienced a death wobble while driving at highway speeds and took the truck to my local dealer. They replaced the steering damper under warranty, I received the truck back and took it on the highway, the front end oscillation is still evident while driving at highway speeds. I contacted my dealer and was informed that the tsb for the problem has been updated and that only the steering damper would be replaced again. This does not seem to be a fix to an ongoing issue. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I feel that the vehicle is not safe or enjoyable to drive.
While driving at 65 mph, on an interstate and crossing at bridges with a right or left turn, vehicle began a violent shaking and uncontrollable movement with lose of steering control on the road. This is frequently called a death wobble. It was as if the front end fell off the vehicle unable to steer. I am a retired accident investigator and cannot believe there is not a safety recall do to the number of these occurrences as reported numerous times. If a less experienced driver had this happen it could have very well caused a fatality.
Death wobble. I was driving down the freeway going 65 mph and felt I hit a small bump, the front of the truck began to shake uncontrollably steering wheel shaking in my hands, I had to slow down 45 mph in order to regain control. My vehicle only has 5600 miles on it.
The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. While traveling 80 mph on an overpass of a highway the vehicle suddenly started shaking and experienced the "death wobble". the vehicle shook violently for about a quarter of a mile while the contact struggled to maintain control of the vehicle. The contact tried shifting into neutral and braking to slow down. The contact was finally able to pull off the road to the shoulder. The vehicle did not stop shaking until it came to a complete stop. Corwin Ford nampa (5707 E gate blvd, nampa, id 83687, (208) 475-1110) stated that the contact should be able to drive over to the dealer. The contact refused to drive the vehicle and had it towed to the dealer using the Ford roadside assistance program. The manufacturer had not been contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 20,500. The consumer stated the dealer replaced the steering dampener and the problem happened a 2nd time.
While drive on freeway or surface street if I drive over a pot hole or bridge seam, trucks suspension goes in to a death wobble, have to slam on brakes to regain control of truck. This issue is going to kill myself or some one driving on the road. This issue happens at least twice a day now.

4-wheel drive (4WD) - sustained steering wheel oscillation - above 45 mph (72 km/H). Vehicle in motion, on the highway, towing a 5th wheel trailer. Hitting a bump or seam in the road causes uncontrollable shimmy in the steering wheel and front suspension. Requires immediate reduction in speed to correct the situation.
ON9/8 /20 I was driving on the expressway at 78 mph I hit a bump in the road and almost control of the truck due to a heavy vibration in the front end of the truck(wobbly). This will be the second time to the dealership for this problem. The first time I was told the shake was normal. Now it is so bad can't control it when it starts. I feel this truck is unsafe and need help to correct it by Ford.
The vehicle violently shimmy's and shakes and makes my hands leave the steering wheel while driving at freeway speeds and going over road bumps, bridge transitions, road deformities. The defect leads to difficult steering and intense shaking even when drivers are driving in normal conditions. This is triggered when the vehicle is traveling at speeds above 50 miles per hour and one of the tires hits a groove or bump in the road, this causes a violent shaking of the vehicle, which can only be controlled by a sudden reduction of speed, which almost caused a several car pile-up on the freeway by me reducing speeds from 70 mph to under 30 mph in the fast lane and not being able to get to a safe area. This has happened in the past but now it happened 4 times in less than 50 miles. My wife refuses T drive the vehicle.
After 20,000 miles my truck started intermittently wobbling. It is termed "death wobble." Usually only happens at higher speeds (70 or better) and after hitting a "rough patch" in the road or bridge joints.the steering wheel shakes from side to side and the whole truck wobbles violently. After slowing down and hanging on for 30 seconds or so it stops and is then fine again.
Experiencing Ford F250 "death wobble." Not hitting any bumps or ruts before truck starts shaking. Only way to stop is take foot of accelerator and hit brake truck is two months old with 6,600 miles on odo. Started experiencing problem about 1 month ago. First two times happened about 45 mph, last time at 55mph. Service manager at tallahassee Ford says death wobble was on older trucks. Thinks is engine problem and does not know cause but first appointment available is 2 weeks out and I should continue to drive truck. Says cannot fix if they can't replicate. Very intermittent and I cannot replicate so unlikely they will. This is not an engine problem, is scary when happens, and feels like a very dangerous situation to me.
Have noticed my truck has been driving different, the steering has been feeling off. Well today I was going down interstate I-4 and went over a bump and my truck started shaking so violently that I thought I was going to crash into a wall. It did not do it once it did it 3 times. I could not control the truck. It was the scariest thing. So unsafe
Death wobble when driving down the road. This vehicle when entering onto the interstate and driving over an expansion joint while merging into traffic at 75-80mph (speed limit on interstate was 80mph), the vehicle started to shake violantly in the front steering wheel, almost like a tire came off. I had a vehicle in the passing lane beside me with a horse trailer on and it was bad enough he slowed down and pulled away from us as I did everything I could to slow it down and get it off to the side of the road, until it hit about 20 or 25mph and stopped shaking. I own jk Jeep, so I know what the Jeep death wobble feels like as I have had to repair it on my lifted Jeep, but this is a 2019 F250 with less than 45,000 miles on it and well, this should not be happening. This is extremely dangerous as I live in Wyoming & travel with this truck as a work vehicle and travel in the pacific nw, and what would have happened if it would have been in winter driving condition and snow and ice on the road. It would have been all over! when I contacted dealer service department they said to bring it in, but doubted they had any options as it is a known problem. Kind of concerning!
I was driving down the interstate at approximately 70mph and my truck went into a "death wobble". I slowed down to around 15 mph to make it stop. The following week, it did it again on the interstate at 75 mph. I was in heavy traffic, with my family, and I had to put on warning lights, and slow down to an unsafe speed on the interstate. Later that week, a colleague borrowed my truck and was traveling down a highway that needed repairs, and the "death wobble" happened around 15 times. At this time, I won't drive the truck anywhere over 40 mph due to fear of harming my family or someone else's family. When this "death wobble" happens, you lose complete ability to control the steering of the vehicle. You have to hold on tight and hope you can slow down safely. I refused to drive my vehicle anywhere over 40 mph.
Truck has vibration, in front end, after repairs still has same issue, this happens when going over bridges, around curves with uneven pavement.this is the 2nd Ford F250 the first a 2017, that had the same issues resulting in an uncontrolable death wobble, I traded the 2017 off for a 2019 thinking it was just a lemon, now I know this is a Ford design flaw. That they haven't fixed.I guess its going to take a lawsuit, fatality to get them to recall these trucks!!!! please help
While driving around a slow radius in the highway at about 50mph I hit a rough spot in the road that caused violent shaking of the steering wheel, which most refer to as "death woble". this caused the front end to loose traction and scoot across the road. To overcome it I had to significantly slow down my rate of speed. My currently has 2857 miles on it. This has happened to lesser amounts previously.
Truck has the death wobble goes into a violent shake very randomly with no warning have to apply heavy brakes to regain control. Steering wheel shakes very bad and the whole front end feels like it's going to come apart. Truck is very dangerous to drive.
In Dec of 2018 the Ford F250 exhibited the "death wobble" which happens when going straight down the onramp entering highway over an expansion joint or pothole at highway speeds above 45-50 mph. The truck experience extreme "bump steer" and harmonic oscillations so harsh as to seem like it was a multiple tire blow out. Dealer tested and experienced same issue. Had 32,727 miles on the truck at the time. Ford tsb 18-2268 supposedly was the applied fix. However when going over bumps and expansion joints there is still a slight bump steer and shimmy but not enough to oscillate harmonically. I researched the issue and this has been happening for years on the superduty trucks. This is a control issue related to both part failures and design as many people are experiencing these incidents before 20,000 miles. Parts should not be wearing out this soon.
