I was driving on a state highway. The speed limit is 65mph. When I drove over an overpass. At 65 mph I went over the expansion joints in the road the truck started to shake violently. The steering wheel shakes back and forth to the left and right. And the whole truck shakes. After slowing down we returned to the posted speed limit only to hit some potholes two miles down the road. Where we experienced the same problem a second time. I made an appointment with the dealership I purchased the truck from, and on the way to the dealer, on the same highway in the same spot, it happened again. The truck was supposedly repaired. However on 03/07/2019 my wife took the truck to an appointment, and once again on the same highway in the same place at 70mph it happened a fourth time. I would like to add that our tires are properly inflated, balanced, and are not even down to the treadwear indicators.

It has happened numerous times, driving 55-60mph the steering wheel shakes violently when it hits a bridge approach.it has been back to the dealer twice, first time they replaced the steering stabilizer at 17,000 miles, started doing it again at approximately 23,000 miles, went back to dealer, they replaced the castor shims the front end, now it has started again at 30,500 miles. I had to brake to get speed down to 30 mph for it to stop, I thought I was going to lose control of the vehicle

2017 F250 first death wobble at 40,000 miles, now 53,000 miles and experience death wobble daily. Daily driver, pray to god Ford corrects before someone dies! very serious safety issue. At highway speed death wobble forces you to slow to below 40 mph to stop, now you have become a rolling road block to be rear ended.

At freeway speeds 70-75 mph, an extreme wobble and shaking took place after running over a little rough pavement. Truck had to be slowed down to about 35 mph for shaking to stop. Some posts on the internet have called this the "death wobble". this happened 3 times on I 90 freeway in recent trip from Tacoma to spokane. Dealer is checking out the truck. Shaking is so bad that steering control is limited. Problem first experienced 3-3-19. Truck has 40,000 miles.

2017 F250 44,000 miles experiencing extreme front tire wobble on the expressway (death wobble) normally happens when im crossing over a bridge or hit minor imperfections on the highway. Usually happens at around 65 mph and when the wobble starts it will not stop until around 30 mph I lose control of the vehicle when this happens until I can get the wobble to stop. This has been going on for the last few months. I have everything stock on my truck. I have brought it into a shop to check front end and everything seems to be tight. I have had the tires rotated properly. This needs to be recalled by Ford. I have been going through Ford truck owner blogs and this is a serious ongoing problem with these trucks. I am not the only one. I am a long time Ford truck owner and I have never had any issues with any of my trucks.

Driving around 60-65 miles an hour on the highway and the vehicle started to shake uncontrollably almost causing me to crash. Slowed vehicle down to about 40 and was able to regain control. This is a significant issue that Ford needs to address before someone dies. The tsb issued for the Ford death wobble problem is just putting a band-aid on the problem and doesn't fully acknowledging that there is a major issue going one here with multiple complaints.

Driving on interstate 75 coming home from trip when all of a sudden truck went into a shack that almost killed myself and my passengers. Took all I could do to keep from crossing lanes into tractor trailer that was next to me. Got pulled over checked truck over and found nothing out of place. Later checked on websites and found out Ford calls this the "death wobble". happened a few more time before we got home, but not as severe.

2017 F250 with 43,000 miles and have had the death wobble many times. I've brought it to the dealer multiple time to have the issue fixed. All they do is put a new steering damper on. The problem goes away for a few thousand miles, but happens again. I keep waste time and money to have this issue fixed. Every time it happens I just pray it's not the day I die, for how violently it shakes the vehicle. Would hate for Ford to have a lawsuit against them due to the death of someone because of this issue, and they won't do anything to fix the problem.

Death wobble. Was traveling on the freeway at 70mph when I passed over a bridge and the truck started to violently shake the front end. I had to slow to 30pmh to regain control after uncontrollably being forced into another lane and almost causing an accident. This is the second time that this has happened to this truck and the first time after Ford attempted to fix the issues by replacing parts. I have video of both events and Ford will not fix the issue stating there is nothing wrong.

While driving at appx. 70-75 mph after hitting a rough patch or bumps on the road the truck began to shake vigorously, I had to slow to 35-40 mph to get it to stop. I have just had the tires balance, rotated, and inflated to the specs. I was just in the dearlship on Friday 02/15/19 and mentioned it to them they said they would look at it and would be $120 diagnostic fee never got an answer back. This morning alone I had experienced it 3 times in the 40 miles I drive to work. This is a huge safety issue and to experience it that many times in a 40 mile drive to work is not ok. Luckily my kids and wife weren't in the truck they would have never rode in it again. I have 41K miles on my tuck and this isn't the first time it has happened. Before taking the tries to be balanced and rotated fixed the issue so it seamed but right after laving the tire shop it happened. I will be taking the truck back to Ford again for them to tell me there is nothing wrong. What is the fix for this" it seams to a common problem is Ford doing anything to help its customers" now after this run of sudden shakes my sun roof will not open seams to be jammed or off track from the violent shaking not sure what else is broken or no longer works after this.

2017 F250 with 35K. First time hauling my 3 horse bumper pull trailer. Went over the bump onto an overpass on the interstate going 70 and the whole truck started shaking violently. The seats and steering wheel were shaking. It was terrifying. I slowed to 55 and it stopped. It did it to me twice yesterday with sophie in the car. I googled 2017 F250 shaking. It's a death wobble. And lots of people are having the issue.

With only 15,000 miles, my Ford F250 4X4 Super Duty truck (all stock) would wobble violently when hitting a bump or dip on the road, typically at speeds over 45mph. I brought the truck in for service as this occurs frequently. Ford replaced several steering parts and admitted to what they call a "death wobble". what scares me the most is that the wobble was so bad, it forced me into the medial of the interstate and nearly caused a major accident. My fears are more toward that if I had my 17 year old driving the truck, much worse could have happened as it took all I had to maneuver the truck off the highway and down to a safe speed to bring the truck back under control. The wobble or shimmy was so extreme that I felt it needed reported. When I asked if the parts replacement would solve the problem indefinitely, they could not give me a good answer. So my fears again are "what if this happens again and what if my teenager is driving". I don't feel this problem is resolved and needs further investigation before someone is seriously hurt, or worse.

Death wobble - at about 55-60 miles per hour with an empty truck, I experienced the death wobble on the freeway. My truck seemed to go over a very slight pothole in the road and began this jumping. The freeway was crowded and I was in lane#3. the truck swerved violently. I had to slam on my brakes and get to the shoulder. The death wobble did not stop until I slowed to about 15 miles per hour. I was unable to control the vehicle. The problem happened once more the same day. It took Ford a week to get an appointment. Once the vehicle was seen they only replaced the steering damper with the same type and did a front end alignment. Truck still wants to jump around on road surfaces and I feel the death wobble could happen at any moment. The service manager acted like this was the first time he had heard of this issue, until I did a google search and found many discussions and complaints about other 2017 Super Duty trucks doing the same thing. Then they admitted to seeing it on other vehicles. I felt like I was going to crash at any moment.

Stock, as delivered by the dealer, 2017 F250 superduty 4X4 FX4 with 20, xxx miles. Three events have occurred so far.. at speeds around 55mph the front end starts to shake violently after hitting bump.(death wobble). The bump that initiated the violent shaking of the truck and loss of steering control were not major bumps and on state highways. You loose control of steering the truck until the vehicle is below 25mph. Found numerous references of this occurring when searching issue on line. Dealer says it an known issue and would replace a steering component bushing under warranty. Asked if this would solve the issue. Was told to try an aftermarket dual stabilizer. Dealer would not cover under warranty. Sounded to me like they component that was damaged would be replace but the cause of the component failure would not be resolved.

At approximately 65 to 70 mph and upon hitting a bump/expansion joint/pothole in the road, the truck will enter into a non-dampening castor oscillation (I.e. death wobble). When this occurs it can be very difficult to control and the driver must slow down to approximately 40 - 45 mph to get the wobble to stop. This can be extremely dangerous when towing a large/heavy trailer.
