6 times in the last four months, my truck has encountered steering wobbles, that have nearly resulted in me crashing my truck in heavy traffic at speeds exceeding 60mph. The wobbles are getting more intense, to the point it's nearly impossible to control my truck.

40,000 miles death wobble uncontrollable shaking after driving over bride while driving on highway had to run off into the median and grass slowing down as quickly as possible. This is a deadly issue and known to Ford. Please take action before people are killed in these trucks. I contacted my local Ford dealer and there is no recall for this issue.

While driving straight at 65mph, I hit a small bump in the road (two lane county highway with a 60mph speed limit). My steering wheel started to violently shake and I had to grip it with both hands to keep from loosing control. This violent shaking continued for approximately 20 seconds and wouldn't stop until I reduced my speed to approximately 40mph. This was the worst this has ever happened, but despite my truck having been worked on (per Ford's tsb), I still have regular steering oscillation or bump steer. My truck is currently at the Ford service dept. And the suggestion given to the service manager by Ford tech is that it's normal. I have my cdl and have been driving heavy equipment/ag equipment for almost 25 years. This has me scared.

Driving at highway speed on the interstate I crossed an expansion joint on a bridge and the steering started oscillating back and forth, shaking the truck violently. I proceeded to brake the vehicle in highway traffic until the steering stability recovered at around 40 mph. A second incident then occurred under similar circumstances roughly 20 miles later. The vehicle is stock.

On multiple occasions, my 2017 F-250 has experienced the so called "death wobble". these events have been triggered by small bumps or pavement transitions in the road when traveling between 55-70 miles per hour. The events seem to have increased in intensity. The first couple of instances the steering wheel shook aggressively, requiring the speed to be reduced to stop the event. The last couple of events have gotten worse. While in traffic traveling down the interstate at 70 mph, the steering wheel / front end began shaking so badly we thought we were getting ready to have a front wheel fly off the truck. I had little to no control over the truck and had to reduce the speed to 45-50 mph to regain control of the truck and get the shaking to stop. The most recent event was triggered while driving in traffic on a state highway traveling approximately 63 mph. A small patch of bumps in the road triggered the event.. again we had little to no control over the truck. The steering wheel and front end of the truck shook violently and continued until the trucks speed could be reduced to 45-50 mph. The truck has been serviced under tsb-2268 and covered by factory warranty. This tsb did not correct the issue and I am now being told by Ford (2,750 miles later) that this pre-existing issue is no longer covered under warranty. My local Ford dealership agreed to check to truck to see if any front end parts were loose. I was told there were no parts loose on the the truck that could be causing the condition and that it must be an alignment issue. I question the alignment issue claim as the truck had the alignment set to tsb parameters 2,750 miles ago. I have now been waiting 8 business days to have the alignment checked. Ford really needs to address this safety issue. The issue puts the owner of these new trucks and the drivers around them in an unsafe situation.

Driving at 72mph on I90 pulling a 3 horse living quarters gooseneck trailer and any small bump or irregularity caused the front end to violently shake to the point of nearly causing loss of control of the vehicle. This happened 8 times in one 800 mile road trip and the only solution was quickly braking to get the speed down under 45mph - which the immediate braking itself in interstate traffic was extremely dangerous.

Death wobble while traveling at highway speeds developed at about 20K miles. When reported to dealer was told wheels out of balance. When you hit a seam or slight imperfection in road vehicle shakes violently until you slow down to approximately 20mph. It feels like the wheels are going to fall off and veering into the next lane of traffic has happened multiple times both while towing my 5th wheel and just traveling with passengers. My truck is now at the dealer-reynolds Ford in norman, ok. They are aware of the ongoing issues with this model truck and are replacing the steering damper which will cost me $769 plus a realignment. This truck has 42K miles on it. The Ford dealer told me they have issues with this happening however Ford has not issues a recall and since I am past the 36,000 B to B warranty I will be paying for the repair. At some point this defect will cause a major accident and Ford will be facing a lawsuit costing them more than a recall. I Transport equipment and passengers on a regular basis for scout troop 222 here in noble, ok. Please continue to address this issue with Ford. I am aware of the many complaints regarding this defect on the 2017 Ford F250 model trucks. This violent shaking usually occurs when traveling above 60mph.

While driving at normal highway speeds on an interstate highway, I hit a minor bump in the road and the vehicle started vibrating radically. The steering wheel was extremely hard to control from the front end bouncing. I had to brake rapidly and pull to shoulder under pretty crowded traffic conditions and it didn't stop until almost completely stopped. It did this numerous times on a out of town trip and I took it to my dealer immediately on my return. The date entered is the first time this occurred. It has happened numerous times since then & has been back to dealer 3 times for this. It is at the dealer now.

About 19000 miles truck had a "death wobble" when hitting bump at freeway speeds. Dealer replaced steering dampener. Still doing it. Now dealer is blaming it on worn tires. If tires were worn it would do it at all speeds. Filed complaint with Ford about a month ago. No response.

I have been experiencing violent, sustained shaking on the highway if I happen to hit one our many available bumps. The entire truck shakes and cannot be stopped until the vehicle is completed stopped. I looked online and saw countless references to such a problem including limitless videos on youtube. If this problem is that well-publicized, there is no way that Ford does not know about it. My local dealer, poynter Ford in seymour, Indiana, claimed that they never heard of such a thing. The Ford corporation's chat line politely directed me to your website. In short, I, and all other owners of this ridiculously expensive vehicle, are playing with fire. This shaking does not occur at speeds less than one would be traveling on a highway. I asked the chat line rep what the term for the event was, what parts have been replaced.

In October 2018, while driving down the freeway at 70 mph in my 2017 F-250 (my truck had just over 24,000 miles on it), I hit an expansion joint and the truck immediately started shaking violently. I had to immediately pull over to the side of the road and slow down to about 35 mph. The truck did this several times before I was able to book an appointment at the dealer a couple weeks later. I took my truck to the dealer and they didn't know what was wrong, so I took it to another dealer, where they replaced the steering damper. The shaking stopped for a few days and I put the truck in storage for nine months while deployed. When I returned in October 2019, I was only able to drive for three weeks before the shaking returned after I hit an expansion joint. The truck has done this several more times when hitting expansion joints and a pothole at 70-75 mph. I am taking it back to the dealer. I am very fortunate that I or other drivers have not been seriously injured or killed yet, and I cannot take my family in this $60,000 truck. I have read about countless examples from others and I don't understand why Ford refuses to acknowledge this. When I called the dealer in topeka today, the service rep told me that this 'death wobble' is 'kind of just what the truck does.' This is crazy, and I can't accept it for a truck as expensive as this. Ford needs to do something before people are killed.

When driving at highway speeds(60 mph and up) and you hit a bump, hole, or deviation in the road surface the front tires begin to wobble out of control. The truck only has 11,000 miles on it and has developed a problem in the last 500 miles. The condition is so rough that I'm in fear of driving it because it is so scary give me some people at the bar. I refuse to allow my wife or daughters to drive the truck. The truck has been taking to the dealership and they agreed that there is a problem. They will be replacing the steering stabilizer. I'm truly happy that I have a dealer who is admitting there is a fault. Looking into this issue it's obvious that it's going to return and this is not a true fix it's only a band-aid to get us through the warranty time limit. I'm really hoping that Ford will address the issue and properly fix these vehicles, some of these cost upwards of $75,000 and are just about impossible to drive due to the unsafe condition.

On 10/28/19 I was traveling on a freeway( I-15) at approximately 65 mph. I hit a section of rough road and my vehicle steering viberated violently. I almost struck other vehicles because the steering was vibrating so rough. I safely made it to the shoulder of the road and inspected the front end. I did not see anything wrong so I travel approximately 200 miles with no issue. On 11/1/19 I traveled 10 miles on a two lane highway, and the vibrations returned after hitting a rough ssection of highway. I had to stop numerous times and travel at 40 mph to make it to a safe location.
