The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the alarm system warning light was illuminated. The hood ajar message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the knock sensor and wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 96,000.
