I bought this truck last October because my previous F250 had transmission problem which occurred at 65,000 miles and I could not afford the time to get it fixed. Also it was a 2011, so five yeas old so I decided to upgrade to a new truck. Same type, F250, 4x4, diesel, supercab. Now at 10,000 kilometres (6,000 miles), I get the transmission slipping in 6 th gear, changing erratically. Not even due for its first transmission service!
What the hell? I'm getting to think I bought the wrong truck. I got the truck to pull trailers. That's why I paid for a 6.7 diesel, 4x4 etc. Mr. Ford should get some decent transmissions built. Or go back to the tranny they used in the 1997 F250 which had the 7.3 engine. I hope the warranty will cover it, but it won't show just by driving it to the doughnut shop, so I know they'll say it's ok. Then it will croak jusr as its out of the warranty. Like the last one did. This is testing my brand loyalty to the limit.
