The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-250. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V337000 (Air Bags); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated while driving and making a turn into the driveway, the steering wheel lost power steering functionality inadvertently and made a clicking sound. The airbag warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and to a secondary dealer, Bill Utter Ford (4901 S Interstate 35 E, Denton, TX 76210), where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

In 2022 Ford issued a recall for my 2016 F250 for the clockspring. In mid 2023 for said sent me a letter telling me the parts are in stock contact a local dealer for repair. I dropped off my tuck and 2 day later I was told by deal it-??s fixed come pick it up. I got in my truck and all the same issues were there. Airbag light is on, steering is sticking, no horn or other electrical working on steering wheel. The dealer said they did a temp fix which I later found was not true, Ford has no temp fix. After contacting Ford directly and being sent to another dealing by Ford Corp I was told Ford has no part number or fox for trucks with heated steering. Ford has failed to remedy as their team does not have a part made to correct. This is a safety issues and they have a dealer saying don-??t worry your airbag will deploy. Fraud along with failure to remedy in a timely manner.

A notice of recall was received July 2022 by my family with the following numbers: Safety Recall Notice 22S35 / NHTSA Recall 22V337. I called NHTSA today to follow up on this notice, which in July 2022 I was told by Parsons Ford the fix was not available as of yet. [XXX] with NHTSA gave me a number to Ford's customer care hotline. Ford contacted Malloy Ford in Winchester VA which is suppose to call us when an actionable fix is available. They have no clue when that will be so I contacted NHTSA again today which now says there is no recall on my vehicle. So are we driving a vehicle that could potentially kill us or not. Why would the recall disappear within hours of talking to NHTSA & Ford? INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The airbag light is on as the spring in the steering column has become contaminated which caused audible cracking sounds in steering column, degrading steering and the horn not to function.

Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew Cab (Diesel) - Purchased new in October 2016 - Problem first appeared Nov 2017 and has recurred at least 6 more times. - Description: At irregular intervals, all of the dashboard warning lights and system warnings (incl. check engine, electric, oil pressure, tire warning, ABS, select-trac, etc.) go off. At that time, all gauges (except gas) fail including speedometer. The vehicle continues to run, but without working gauges, etc. If the vehicle is turned off, it will not start - at least not immediately. After some period of time, ranging from 20 minutes to overnight, the vehicle will again start, but may start flashing the same codes and warnings again. As previously mentioned, this problem has existed since 2017 and occurs at unpredictable times. - Vehicle has been serviced by 3 different Ford dealers, none of which have been able to resolve the problem and in most cases, duplicate the issue. However, problem has been tentatively identified as a problem with the BCM (body control module) located behind the passenger side kick plate. One dealer allegedly replaced the BCM (in Feb 2020), but the problem has recurred 3 more times. - At present, the current dealer has advised that there is a huge backorder for the BCM (exceeding 1200 orders) as well as a "stop sell" order which they tell me is Ford's way of saying "even if you have this part in stock, you can't sell it" because it's likely defective. The service manager said there are no other sources of this part (aftermarket, etc.). - Because of the lack of reliability of the vehicle and the safety issues of driving without a speedometer and other necessary gauges, as well as the unknown damage that might be done to the engine, I believe the vehicle is a safety hazard to myself and others. - Based on internet reports, this is a fairly widespread problem with similar reports affecting Ford trucks from 2012 - 2016 and possibly others.

Diagnostic Trouble Code P21B0 Reductant level sensor C circuit high I know several people that have had this same issue concerning the DEF tank assembly costing close to $1000. A recall was issued for earlier models but doesnt cover my truck that now has this same issue. It's this type of failure that makes owners of diesel vehicles contemplate deleting these pollution reducing systems. Please consider an expanded recall.

12/07/16 I purchased a brand new vehicle. I drove it home approximately two miles to pick my wife up and take her for a spin. Upon starting the vehicle the air bag light, the stability control light as well as the warning message for service advance trac and trailer brake module fault and the 911 assist non operational. I took the truck back to the dealership and they ended up replacing the restraint control module. They had the truck for about five days. When I picked up my truck before I even got off the lot all the lights and messages came on again. I took it to the dealerships other location and they had it roughly three weeks. They replaced the instrument cluster and the master wiring harness at the instructions of Ford engineering. I drove the truck before having all the same things happen again with the exception of the stability control/ service advance trac message. I took the truck back again, this time they replaced the restraint control module again. A few weeks went buy and now the same problems again. This is the fourth visit and tomorrow marks the 30th business day the truck has been in the shop. Add ten more days for the weekends it sat there and the one day for when the dealership had to repair my leather interior that they messed up. That's 41 days and I haven't even had it four months yet. I've requested that the manufacturer buy it back now twice and was denied both times. I was told that my vehicle does not meet their criteria. The service department told me that the vehicle is unsafe to drive when these lights come on. It powers down those systems making them non operational. There is no pattern to this happening. It can be at start up, siting still or moving down the road. The light can stay on the entire trip or just flash momentarily.
