When truck is first driven it will down shift from higher speed to first gear for no reason causing violent lock up of tires. This is an on going problem.

I placed my truck in Park, exited the vehicle to assist my daughter to the truck. As we approached the front of the truck - the truck started Rolling forward. I tried to enter the driver side door to stop the vehicle but realized my truck was going to collide with the vehicle next to it and I tried to clear my body of the two vehicles. I was caught between the two vehicles near the rear driver side fender and couldn't free myself. My daughter entered the truck from the passenger side and the truck had went from Park to Drive. My daughter put the truck in Park and somehow I was able to free myself. I received injuries to my hip and pelvic area. The entire incident was recorded on a home surveillance system.

The bushing on the cable that holds the transmission gear selector cable to to the transmission gear selector bracket on the transmission housing broke and left the truck unable to be shifted in or out of gear using the lever on the steering column. The only way to move the vehicle was to crawl under the vehicle and manually move the gear shift selector to the desired gear. I was able to drive it to a Ford dealer for immediate repair. There were no warning signs and the truck was operating with no problems/issues prior to this incident. The truck is a 2016 model and I am the original owner. The truck had 62982 miles on it when the incident occurred. I feel this is a safety issue because this would prevent the vehicle from being put in park if it broke when being put in drive and could cause the vehicle to roll into something or onto someone

The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the intake manifold needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 144,000.

The truck has the death wobble. I had dealer balance driveshaft 2X, as well as, the dealer adjusted the alignment again... the truck is still experiencing sustained steering wheel oscillation and I am again experiencing the death wobble, less than 1,000 miles after the most recent repair. It is very unfortunate that consumers purchase 50K+ dollar trucks and so many people are nervous driving them down the road. Ford keeps the montra up of such as the following: Continuous improvement. Review the data, the data will tell the story. Change points. Root cause and permanent countermeasures. I have reviewed the historical F250 crew cab 4X4 complaint data on this site (NHTSA) and the data does tell a story. That story is very clear that Ford is not continuously improving the death wobble issue on the Super Duty, instead it has gotten worse. There has been a change point with this fourth generation F250. (2017,2018,2019) as of 11/21/19 the fourth generation F250 Super Duty has had more NHTSA suspension and steering complaints for the death wobble than the previous two generations combined. (9 years. Second generation 2008-2010 and third generation 2011-2016) the current repairs (countermeasures) are not effective and are not permanent. This can clearly be seen in the descriptions of the complaints on NHTSA. The repairs either do not fix the problem at all or are only a temporarily band aid for the issue. This is truly a safety concern and to date nothing has been implemented to correct the issue. Please, open an investigation and force Ford to permanently address the issue.

The reductant heater (DEF heater) has went out. Ford will not honor the 5 year/ 60,000 miles power train warranty or the 8 year/ 80,000 mile emissions warranty to repair the issue. According to web sources dealerships maintain a regular supply of these heaters as they replace 5 to 6 a week in the winter. My truck is 4 years and 58,000 miles.

Service engine light came on twice while vehicle was under warranty. Dealer serviced both times and was unable to rectify or understand the problem. They only cleared the fault codes. The code identified was for the reductant heater pump - low voltage. The same code just came back on for the 3rd time - this time identified by a diesel performance shop - with advice to replace the reductant pump. Previous make and model superduty trucks have had recalls for the same thing. This is an obvious issue, not sure why Ford service shops could not rectify. Truck is now out of warranty and I am forced to pay out of pocket. Unacceptable service and care! -cold weather each time -engine light comes on - same code each time -reduced speed and sluggish performance -code cleared - truck performs normal -obvious that the reductant heat pump is not doing what it is designed to do.
