Was driving to Houston going 80 mph and my 2014 F250 Diesel truck came to a halt on IH 10 and I was forced to pull off the road. My truck said reducing speed and then the power steering went out. It took everything I had to steer it off the road. Once I got it stopped it would not start again. We waiting in 106 degree heat for over 2 hrs for a tow truck with no water or AC. Truck was towed to Houston at a cost of 260.00 and this morning I was told that the High Pressure Fuel Pump had exploded and sent metal all over my fuel system. Ford wants $14,000.00 … yes that is 14K dollars to fix it. Tomorrow morning I will find out if my extended warranty will cover the repair. There are law suits all over the internet on Ford F250s diesels having this problem. Ford has not recalled these vehicles but yet they knew that US diesel would not work properly in the HPFPs. I still owe 40,000.00 on this truck. I just had heart surgery and this has stressed me out so bad that I got a bloody noise while I was on the phone with the Ford dealership.
