When I tow my travel trailer, a 27' 7000# dry weight trailer the hitch pins are bending ever so slightly. As you can see in the pic I have used 3 pins. You also notice there is a sleeve that fits into the receiver so it can accommodate the hitch. Also notice that the sleeve has an oblong hole on both sides of the sleeve that the pin goes through. I believe this oblong hole is contributing to the pins
bending.
I've asked my RV dealer and he has never seen this before. I went to my local Ford dealer and he also has never seen this problem. I haven't asked my dealer to open a work order yet but I think I will. I want Ford to know about it.
