The problem started when we bought the truck new in 2005. Truck went to the shop in 05 but the problem could not be found (Told to live with). The AC would not come on at times, we would knock the dash three time wait for the fuel pump to stop, pray, and start the truck. The ac would come on, but somtimes the controls would not work so we would go threw the procedure again until the AC worked. The controlls went out completly 9-1-2010 200,000 miles on the truck. Long time to live with. AC blows only out the defrost. I went behind the glove box and jammed the Door closed so I could get ac out the Foot vents. This action allowed us to drive the truck back home from vacation at a decent temp. I do not want to ride with my wife 1,500 miles telling me how hot it is again. Please help if anybody can.
