So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I tried to rotate my tires. I could not get the rear wheels off my truck. I called the dealer, currie motors, and they said they use a rubber mallet to beat the wheels off. I did this with much difficulty. I would not have been able to get the wheel off if I had been on the road and had a flat tire. I would not have had a mallet with me, and I would not have had the necessary jack stands to adequetly support the vehicle while I lay underneath it and "beat" the wheels off. The id of both rear wheels were galled after I finally got them off. The fit/tolerance of the wheel to rotor interface is not correct. There was no problem with getting the front wheels off. I contacted Ford through their owner connection, but the response I received was just a form letter. I believe this is a safety issue as most people would not be able to change a flat tire while on the road.
Rear wheels cannot be removed without getting underneath vehicle and pounding on it. Owner found the problem and it is unrelated to the vehicle, requests that complaint be withdrawn.
