After filling the vehicle with gas, the gas gauge was half full, then almost empty. After noticing the gas gauge the consumer pulled off to the side of the road. A state trooper noticed gas on the ground. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who stated there was a leak in the gas line.
Recall # 99V311000 Ford/FMVSS 301; vehicle crash: Cut off system. Dealer stated that because there is not a hole underneath, they will not correct. But owner will be given cords to fix if frames change.
During inclement weather brake failed when applied. Consumeer tried to avoid hitting vehicle in front and hit a pole. There was no deployment of driver and passenger side airbages and the seat belt did not restrain driver and kill swith failed.
Consumer was involved in a 40 mph collision in which the driver's and passenger's air bags did not deploy. Also, the automatic fuel system did not cut off.
