Fuel valve is leaking fuel back into cooling system which is next to battery. This causes fuel vapors to enter through vents while driving. Had taken vehicle to dealership on 04 Oct 01 and had it repaired. However, problem has now reappeared.
Recall 99V311 000/FMVSS 301 concerning fuel emission control valve. Dealer refused to honor recall. Dealer informed consumer that they would call manufacturer, and manufacturer would call consumer within 3 weeks. Thus far, no call received. Seeking help from NHTSA in this matter. Owner took vehicle to another dealer, and as soon as the parts come in they will repair the recall.
