1.while braking, brakes release when truck hits a bump in the road. Brakes releasing at the wrong time can be very dangerous. 2. tread seperated from the tire casing (dot number: Vnw8 1xl tiresize: 265/175R16)
I brought a used F-250 4X4 with ABS. The fist week using it, failure in stopping was noted. I returned the car, and the deler is checking it. I am very concern about this matter, for my safety and others. I am requesting help, this is normal. I have the same problem with a 98 chev Suburban. What I can do to prevent a fatal accident both are big truck.

Whenever brakes are applied and when running over a bump, it causes a momentary loss of brakes. Vehicle been in dealer shop on three occasions, and nothing could be found. Please feel free to provide any further details.
At about every 7000 mile increments my brakes begin to exhibit "brake shudder" a vibration that occurs when the brakes are applied. Not until I was able to obtain a technical service bulliten and show my Ford dealer was I able to get the problem resolved. Followng is the technical service bulletin: Some 1999-2000 Super Duty F-series and 2000 Excursion may exhibit brake vibration or shudder while braking. Engineering has released a new brake pad (P/N F81Z-2001-ea), which is equipped with a "V-spring." The V-spring keeps the brake pad off the rotor, which increases brake pad life and decreases brake shudder and noise. When replacing these brake pad use the pro-cut brake lathe to machine the rotors on the vehicle to a lateral run-out of.001" or less. Besides the shudder the thing that concerns me the most is the vehicle starts to pull to left or right when I apply the brakes. Thank you for you consideration on this issue.L.
Intermittently when the brakes are applied in a panic pedal goes to the floor, resulting in extended stopping distance. Dealer has inspected and repaired vehicle.
Reference voq #854737 where my supplied information was incorrectly recorded. While driving and when braking, the vehicle pulls left (into oncoming traffic) the severity of the pull to the left is directly related to the measure of the braking and vehicle speed (e.g. low speed with light braking = moderate pull to the left and higher speeds with firm braking = extreme pull to the left). The Ford dealer has turned all the rotors, replaced a brake line, replaced the pads, realigned the vehicle at least three times, replaced the camber bushings twice, once with Ford factory parts and the last time with after market parts (non-Ford adjustable camber bushings). Reference electronic dealer service report, edsr#17584 generated 05/11/99 by the master technician at joe cooper Ford.
When traveling and upon depressing the brake pedal consumer noticed vehicle pullling to the left, causing poor steering control, and resulting in several near crashes. Consumer has contacted the dealer, dealer has made repairs, butproblem still occurs.
While traveling and when pressing on the brake pedal vehicle would travel to the left or the right. Dealer has been contacted. Please provide further informaton.
The ABS braking system malfunctioned while driving over a bump in the road which activated, resulting in extended stopping distance. *akbraking normally with light brake pedal pressure while going over bump in the road causes the ABS to engage, accompanied by an alarming loss of braking power. Pumping brakes returns system to normal.
Powersteering hose broke, causing a leakage. When the consumer applied the brakes, there weren't any brakes. Consumer pressed hard on the brakes, and after a delay, the brakes kicked in.
While driving 70 mph T cruise control would not disengage. Applied the brakes, and vehicle still would not stop. Consumer turned the vehicle off to gain control.
When the brakes are applied vehicle either pull to the left of the right. Dealer has inspected the vehicle, and has not been able to correect the problem. Manufacturer has been notified.
