Ford F 250 safety issue, constantly have to make certain the truck doesn't lurch forward on release. The consumer is having problems with the clutch on the six speed manual and the emergency brake. The clutch releases only 1 to 1 1/2 inches off the floor. The consumer was told that the original had a rubber hose part that allowed expansion when the hydraulic clutch fluid was compressed. The vehicle was found that the problem with the clutch fork was bending. The consumer stated that it is difficult to shift gears causing a pause that could result in someone else rear ending him. The vehicle emergency brake was replaced due to recall notice however the consumer still has to leave it in gear on even theslightest grade because the emergency brake does not hold the truck in place. Ford Motor Company agreed to replace the parking brake front cable and the pedal control assembly. The A/C blew hot air.
At 20,000 miles ongoing problem with loss of power after 1/2 hours of running and stalling out when applying accelerator pedal from a stop position. Vehicle been in dealer shop on five occasions, and probelem still reoccurring. Dealer has replaced the fuel pump, air flow sensor, mass air flow sensor, and the O2 sensors, some of these have been replaced more than once and vehicle continues to lose power and stall. Door ajar light illuminated, dealer ordered left door jam switch. Fuel gauge reads full when it is not, dealer replaced fuel sender. Consumer states passenger front rim is warped. Shifter handle bezel keeps popping off, transmission would not go into all gears, when backing in reverse, ther is a squealing noise. Left door cylinder replaced. ABS light illuminated when going in reverse. Air conditioner does not get cold.
On vacation to Alaska in the summertime had the A/C on maximum. It was very humid and hot, and wife became ill. Contacted dealer, who diagnosed a strong mold odor coming out of air conditioning. Sold the customer a environment kit. According to the manual, the A/C vents should alway remain open even when turning the vehicle off.
