Driver's side and passenger side doors on 1997 Ford F-150 have cracks at rear of window frame about 4 inches from the bottom of the window. I have heard of many other people who have these cracks in the door.
Cracks on door Ford 1997 truck. Just to give you an idea there are 18 trucks in the parking lot 12 out of the 18 have cracks.. this needs to be looked at by Ford!!!!!!!!
The outside of the driver and passenger side doors have a horizontal stress crack in the metal. This is near the area of where the rubber window molding meets.
Drivers side outer door has a horizontal "stress crack" in the sheet metal. If looking at door the crack is located to the right of where the two rubber window moldings join.
My vehicle exhibits cracks in the door sheet metal at the lower rear of the belt molding on both the passenger and driver's sides. These cracks are rusting and in time will compromise the integrity of the doors and thereby the safety of the passenger compartment.
